BoatWakr

Book a boat from your AI assistant

BoatWakr works inside Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Ask in plain words — "find a pontoon for 8 near Miami on Saturday under $150 an hour" — and the assistant searches, quotes and books on BoatWakr for you. Owners, captains and organization admins can run their listings, charters and teams the same way.

Connect in a minute

  1. Open your assistant’s connector (or integrations) settings and add a custom connector.
  2. Use the connector URL shown below.
  3. Sign in with your BoatWakr account when prompted and approve access.
  4. Ask for a boat. The assistant confirms the price and terms with you before anything is charged.

What your assistant can do

One connector covers every kind of BoatWakr account. Owner, captain and organization tools work once your account has that role; BoatWakr refuses them otherwise.

Renters

Everyone with a BoatWakr account

  • Search boats by location, dates, guests, boat type and price, and read listing details, reviews and open booking windows
  • Marine forecast and active advisories for a trip's coordinates
  • Quote a trip with the full price breakdown and add-ons, check what still needs setting up (payment method, identity verification), and book once you confirm the price and terms
  • List and view your bookings, and cancel one with a refund preview first
  • Propose new trip dates, and approve, decline or withdraw a date change
  • Choose a different captain when the listing lets you pick
  • Manage your guest list and send waiver invites; each guest signs their own waiver
  • See your saved cards, your payment history and what each booking charged
  • Message owners, renters and captains
  • Review your trips, read the reviews on them, and flag a review that breaks the rules
  • Fill in and submit pre- and post-trip condition inspections, then open a dispute and add evidence if something went wrong

Owners

If you list a boat, or your organization gives you access to its listings

  • Build a listing draft by chat, or import one from another site, and review it in the listing wizard before anything goes live
  • See what a listing still needs, then publish, unpublish or delete it
  • Edit prices, details, rules, weekly hours and add-ons on one listing or many at once, and remove photos
  • Open or block single dates on a listing calendar
  • Submit jurisdiction compliance paperwork and check your vessel registration
  • Confirm or reject booking requests, check renters in at the dock and record no-shows
  • Find Captain Connection captains, send crew or charter offers, and put captains on listings and trips
  • Respond to reviews of your listings
  • See your earnings and payout status

Captains

Once you have a captain profile

  • Track your application, keep your profile and Captain Connection listing current, and submit for review
  • Set your weekly hours and date exceptions
  • Answer crew and charter offers, talk them over with the owner, and see the boats you crew
  • Run the charter day: read the briefing, check in, start and end the charter, and file fuel and incident reports

Organization admins

Owners and admins of an organization

  • Invite and remove members, change roles and permissions, revoke invitations and transfer ownership
  • Create an organization, update its details and settings, or deactivate it
  • Finish owner verification

Your account

Everyone with a BoatWakr account

  • See and update your profile, notification preferences and boating credentials
  • Save boats and see your saved list
  • Read your notifications and unread counts, and mark them read
  • See the organizations you belong to, and start a captain profile

Nothing happens behind your back

Anything that moves money, notifies someone else, or puts a listing live or takes it down (a booking, a cancellation, a message, a review, publishing a listing, inviting a member) is shown to you first and waits for your yes. Other edits, such as a draft, a listing’s details or your profile, happen when you ask.

What it cannot do

  • Enter or see a full card number or security code: cards are added on BoatWakr
  • Sign a liability waiver: each guest signs their own on the booking page or from their invite
  • Verify your identity or set up payouts: those open on BoatWakr with Stripe
  • Upload photos or documents: listing photos, captain documents, credentials and evidence are added on BoatWakr, and the assistant links you there
  • Change your email or password, reach admin tools, or act on anyone else’s account

What you approve when you connect

Before you allow the connection, BoatWakr lists the permissions your assistant asks for, in these words. An assistant can ask for these and no others.

  • Search boats, view details, availability, quotes, and reviews
  • Create and edit your listings, drafts, photos and availability, and publish or unpublish them
  • View your bookings and cancellation previews
  • Create and cancel bookings on your behalf
  • See your payment history, earnings and payout status, and the cards you have saved (brand, last four digits and expiry date; never the full number or security code)
  • See your name, email, whether a phone number is on file, and your verification status
  • See your captain profile, availability, charters and offers, and search Captain Connection for your listings
  • Create and update your captain profile and availability, answer crew and charter offers, run your charter day, file trip reports, and send captains offers for your listings
  • See your verification status and uploaded documents
  • Upload verification documents and submit them for review
  • See your organizations, members, invitations, verification documents and payout status
  • Create organizations, invite and remove members, change roles and permissions, transfer ownership, and update or deactivate organizations
  • See the compliance status of your listings
  • Submit and withdraw listing compliance reviews and upload evidence
  • Update your name, phone number, notification preferences, boating credentials and saved boats
  • Read your message threads with owners, renters and captains
  • Send messages on your behalf and mark threads as read
  • See reviews of boats, captains and your trips
  • Post reviews of your trips, respond to reviews of your listings, and flag reviews
  • See your notifications
  • Mark your notifications as read
  • See the evidence on disputes you are part of
  • Open disputes on your bookings and add evidence to them

Your account stays in your control

The connector uses OAuth: the assistant only acts for you after you sign in and approve it, it never sees your card details, and you can revoke access at any time. Bookings follow the same rules, prices and cancellation policies as booking on the website.
